Now the spooky season has drawn to a close, residents are being reminded to properly dispose of pumpkins.
Halloween saw many houses adorned with cleverly carved pumpkins.
Now Dorset Council has issued a reminder to the public that pumpkins can be cut up and recycled with the food waste that is collected weekly.
This comes after another warning was issued from Forestry England, reminding people not to leave spent pumpkins in forests or woodlands as they can harm wildlife.

A spokesperson for Dorset Council Waste Services said: "We hope you had a fun Halloween, and everyone admired your carved pumpkins.
"Once you've finished with them, please cut them up and put in your food waste bin. Please do not put them in your garden bin. Thank you!"
