A FIRE broke out close to beach huts on Boscombe seafront late at night.
A witness captured footage of the incident on Thursday night, October 31.
The witness said the fire is believed to have been caused by a firework, however, the fire service was not able to confirm this.
The witness told the Echo fireworks were being set off near the beach huts and one ended up in bushes very close to the beach huts.
Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to Undercliff Drive to reports of a fire on the cliffside at 10.43pm.
Two crews attended, one from Springbourne and another from Christchurch, where three hose reel jets were used to extinguish the fire.
The fire was dealt with by 11.10pm.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "At 10.47pm on Thursday 31 October 2024, we received a report of a fire at Boscombe Pier in Sea Road in Bournemouth.
"Officers attended to assist the fire service.
"The fire is not believed to have been started deliberately and no injuries were reported."
