A FIRE broke out at an industrial premises leading to a large emergency service response.
Six fire crews from Sherborne, Gillingham, Shaftesbury, Blandford and Wimborne, as well as a a water carrier from Poole were called to an industrial premises on the outskirts of Shillingstone.
It happened at around 6pm on Thursday, October 31.
Multiple hose reels and compressed air foam were used to bring the fire under control.
The fire also caused a power cut in some areas of the village.
At around 10pm, the fire was brought under control and the incident was scaled down as relief crews took over from the initial attending crews.
As of 8.30am, one fire crew was still at the scene using a hose reel jet to dampen down hotspots.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said: At 6.01pm on October, 31 firefighters were called to reports of an industrial premises on fire on the outskirts of Shillingstone.
"At the height of this incident we had six fire engines and a water carrier on the scene. Firefighters are using multiple hose reels and compressed air foam to bring the fire under control.
"We are working with the electricity board (SSE) at this incident. The fire has caused some power disruption to the village of Shillingstone, we apologise for the inconvenience."
