A NEW Christmas market is set to launch in Poole town centre featuring festive products from small businesses.
The Dolphin Poole is introducing the brand new Kingland Christmas Market for 2024, with indoor stalls.
A selection of handmade gifts and sweet treats will be available to browse and purchase inside the former Millets store at 22 Kingland Crescent.
The market will be open for free every day from November 13, 10am to 4pm, until December 23.
John Grinnell, centre manager at The Dolphin, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors to this year’s Kingland Christmas Market.
“We hope the market will enhance the experience of shoppers who are seeking out unique, handmade gifts for friends and family.
“The Dolphin is passionate about supporting local makers and creatives, so it’s very fitting that the new Christmas market will reside in Kingland.”
In 2021, Legal and General offered free rent and business rates to 10 local independent retailers for the first two years, to promote small businesses.
Kingland is now home to ‘some of the finest independent brands in Poole’.
The Dolphin supports independent businesses who are ready for a shopfront as well as investing in smaller retailers who are just starting out.
Kingland Christmas Market has been introduced alongside The Dolphin Street Market, which showcases eight stalls in the centre available for booking throughout the year.
Carmen Davies, community manager at The Dolphin, said: “We’ve received unprecedented demand for street market stalls during November and December this year, so it made sense for us to create more opportunities for small businesses during this time.
“In Poole we’re incredibly fortunate to have lots of talented artists and makers on our doorstep, and it’s a great privilege to be able to support them.”
Market stalls at Kingland Christmas Market are available to book from £120 plus VAT per week.

The centre also introduced The Dolphin Street Food this year which welcomes new local start-up restaurants and experienced operators on its first floor.
Mr Grinnell previously said it was a “great opportunity” to support local restaurants and diversify the experience for visitors.
