THE South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) has opened nominations for Governor positions in Dorset.
SWASFT is inviting staff and members of the public in eligible constituencies across the South West to join the Council of Governors, representing the voices of communities within the trust.
There are currently public and staff governors’ vacancies across Dorset, Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Wiltshire, Bristol, and Bath.
Governors play a crucial role in ensuring SWASFT remains transparent, community-focused, and responsive to the needs of the people it serves.
Luke March, lead governor at SWASFT, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for members of the community to actively participate in our ambulance service.
"Our members and our governors are at the core of the Trust, and rightly have a say on how we can improve our services to meet the needs of the people we serve in the community.
“SWASFT really need to hear those voices, and you can help make a difference to your local emergency services if you stand as a SWASFT governor in this year’s elections.
"We look forward to seeing and welcome all nominations.”
The nominations close on Tuesday, November 19.
