A 13-YEAR-OLD is to appear in court as well as their parents charged with shoplifting.
The child, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been summoned to court relating to two shoplifting offences in the Ringwood area.
The incidents are just one of several that Ringwood’s police officers have been dealing with over the past two weeks.
In addition, officers attended a serious assault of a young boy in Fordingbridge which resulted in a boy, 15, being arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
And a woman, 49 and from Ringwood, was arrested for drink driving and having no insurance after repeated calls from concerned residents. Her vehicle was also seized.
Ringwood’s officers said: “To top the week off we located an injured swan on the B3347 after being called by passing motorists (no Hot Fuzz jokes please) and enabled some wildlife experts to care for it.
“We will be patrolling the fireworks events in Ringwood, Poulner School & Bransgore over the next few days so come and say hi if you see us.”
