AN AIR ambulance was deployed and a person was taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Poole.

Officers were alerted to an incident on Sopers Lane near Parkstone Grammar School at around 12pm on November 2.

The regional fire service was also alerted to the crash due to a possible fuel leak but did not attend.

One person was taken to hospital by land ambulance.

A spokesperson for the Southwestern Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 13:15hrs on Saturday 02 November to a road traffic collision in Creekmoor, Dorset.

“We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, an air ambulance, an operations officer, and a critical care car to the scene. We conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Poole Hospital”.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 12.03pm on Saturday 2 November 2024 of a two vehicle collision on Rugby Road in Poole, at the junction with Sopers Lane.

“There were no reports of any serious injuries. Recovery was arranged. The road was cleared and police left the scene at around 2.45pm.”

A spokesperson for DWFRS said: “We were made aware of a fuel leak on Sopers Lane, Poole following an rtc but we did not send any resources.”
