A DEVELOPER has supported a scout group in Fordingbridge to improve its facilities.
Pennyfarthing Homes has provided funding to 1st Fordingbridge Scout Group to help pay for an accessible toilet and wet room.
The enhancements will make the scout group’s facilities inclusive to everyone, regardless of physical ability.
Matt Dukes, Pennyfarthing Homes’ managing director, said: “We are thrilled to have been able to support the 1st Fordingbridge Scout Group and giving them funding to help with this important project.
“The scouts are passionate about fostering community spirit, and we are proud to play a role in helping them enhance their facilities to achieve this."
Shirley Brookes, group lead volunteer of 1st Fordingbridge Scouts, said: "We are incredibly grateful to Pennyfarthing Homes for their support.
"This contribution, along with others we have received from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund which is delivered locally by New Forest District Council, from Fordingbridge Town Council and from the Rotary Club of Fordingbridge, makes a huge difference in ensuring that our facilities are accessible to all, allowing every young person in our scout group the chance to participate in the activities and adventures we offer."
