A BODY was found in the sea on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services were called Mudeford Quay at around 6.45am on November 5 to the body of a man found in the water.
He was recovered from the water and later identified as being a man aged in his 60s.
Police officers attended along with HM Coastguard, the RNLI and the ambulance service.
Dorset Police’s spokesman said: “The death is not being treated as suspicious and the man’s next of kin has been informed. The coroner has also been notified.
“Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this difficult time.”
The RNLI's spokeswoman said: "I can confirm Mudeford RNLI did launch around 7am this morning."
