THE rider of an electric bicycle was knocked out in a crash.
Emergency services were called to reports of a crash in Bradford Road near to the junction with Low’s Hill Lane, Sherborne, at around 6.20pm on Tuesday, November 5.
A man in his 40s who was riding the e-bike was knocked unconscious when he collided with a vehicle – the latter was believed to have not stopped.
He was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were believed to be serious but not life-changing or life-threatening.
Police constable Carl Wood said: “We are carrying out enquiries to identify the vehicle involved in this collision and I would urge any witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to please contact us.
“I would also urge the motorist involved to do the right thing and come forward so we can take your account of what happened.”
