SEVERAL KFC restaurants that were recently closed down have been put on the market.

KFCs in Christchurch Road in Boscombe, Barrack Road in Christchurch, Westover Road in Bournemouth and Station Road in New Milton were all closed by the administrators earlier this year.

London-based Caskade went into administration in June owing creditors more than £38m, with joint administrators Gary Shankland and Robert Ferne of Begbies Traynor LLP being called in.

And now those that were closed down have all been put on the market.

Ellis and Partners is marketing the Boscombe branch for a price from £425,000, or a new lease of £39,500 per year.

Christchurch’s branch is also being marketed by the Bournemouth-based property management company, up for rent for £40,000 per year.

And New Milton’s restaurant is being marketed by Goadsby for £46,000 per year – or £3,833 per calendar month.

Meanwhile, the former KFC in Westover Road is up for sale along with other units in the same building, comprising numbers 29 to 36.

This includes Wagamama, The Gym Group, Moss Bros and Alfa Menswear - all remain open.

Offers in excess of £4,407,000 subject to contract and exclusive of VAT are being offered, with Lewis and Partners saying the existing businesses bring in £376,546 of income a year.

Other KFCs in the area formerly owned by Caskade – including in the Dolphin Centre, Winton High Street, Ashley Road in Parkstone, Lyndhurst Road in Christchurch, The Triangle in Bournemouth town centre and Wessex Gate – were all sold to Wembley-based The Adil Group.

Administrators Begbies Traynor LLP said in its report that 40 branches were sold to The Adil Group for £17.55m, including £100,000 for the leasehold interest for the restaurant in Tower Park.

It added in June when Caskade’s accounts were looked into, around £11.5m was owed to KFC by the group, which arrears of £3m unpaid tax to HMRC.

Bosses at Caskade took a number of measures to reduce spending including job cuts at the head office and changing cleaning contractor companies to save £100,00 a year.

A report by the administrators in July revealed Caskade owed Ace Plumbing and Heating, of Boscombe, £4,947, Birks Electrical Contractors of Wimborne £7,244 and Ellis and Partners £11,804.
