A GROUP of travel agents have walked from Highcliffe Castle to Boscombe Pier to raise money for a children’s charity.
The team of four from Hays Travel in New Milton walked more than 13 kilometres and raised £238 for charity Scarf.
Scarf organise clubs and activities for children with additional needs and their families.
Travel consultant, Veronica Stewart, said: “We began our walk full of verve and vigour.
“Starting at Highcliffe Castle, we traversed beach sand, tar road, and more. Then with aching feet, and a sense of delight, we saw Boscombe Pier come into sight.
“We ended up walking 13.45km which was a tad more than expected, but we enjoyed our chat and our walk and we are very proud of raising funds for Scarf.”
Lucinda Dowson, Scarf programme coordinator, said: “Thank you so much to everyone involved in raising this money for Scarf.
"Every little bit of money helps us to continue providing activities and clubs for families in the New Forest who have a child with a disability or additional needs. These activities mean so much to local families.”
