THE following cases were heard at Poole Magistrates' Court:
KIERAN PENALUNA, 23 and of Sea View Road in Poole, admitted fraudulently using a registration mark / registration document, driving while disqualified, and using a motor vehicle on a road / public place without third party insurance in Hillcrest Road in Poole on November 5. He was disqualified from driving for 36 months and jailed for four weeks.
MACE LAURENCE, 20 and of School Lane in Winfrith Newburgh, admitted causing serious injury by careless / inconsiderate driving, and using a passenger vehicle with tyres with insufficient tread - less than 1.6mm, on the A35 Dorchester Bypass on December 30, 2023. He was handed a 20 week prison sentence suspended for 18 months, required to complete 150 hours of unpaid work within 12 months, and disqualified from driving for three years. He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £154 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
JONATHAN IRVINE, 43 and of Langton Road in Bournemouth, admitted driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit, namely 42 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, in Langton Road in Bournemouth on September 8. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months. He was also fined £250, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £100 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
DARREN DARBY, 38 and of Hill View in Sixpenny Handley, admitted possession of a controlled drug of class A, namely two wraps of cocaine, in Kingland Road in Poole on June 2. He was fined £900, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £360 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
MUSTAFA DILL, 28 and of Draper Road in Christchurch, admitted failing to stop a mechanically propelled vehicle when required by constable / traffic warden in Woodbury Avenue in Bournemouth on June 9. He was fined £200, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £80 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
JOHN MCKENNA, 28 and of Tollard Close in Poole, admitted driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit, namely 42 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, in Hawkwood Road in Bournemouth on September 11. He was disqualified from driving for 36 months. He was also fined £200, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £80 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
WAYNE DODD, 52 and of Stanpit in Christchurch, admitted two counts of driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit, namely 46 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath in Barrack Road in Christchurch on November 6, and 45 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath in Bryanstone Road in Bournemouth on September 16. He was disqualified from driving for 16 months. He was also fined £480 and ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
GEORGE MEARS, 20 and of Holdenhurst Road in Bournemouth, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place and assault by beating of an emergency worker, namely a police officer, in Old Christchurch Road in Bournemouth on March 23. Mears admitted criminal damage to property valued under £5000 at police custody in Bournemouth on March 23. Mears admitted two further accounts of assault by beating of an emergency worker, namely a paramedic, in Bournemouth on June 28, 2023, and a police officer in Bournemouth on September 13, 2023. Mears was handed a community order lasting until May 7, 2026. Mears was also ordered to pay £250 compensation.
CARL ELTAYEB, 36 and of Mount Road in Bournemouth, admitted theft from a shop, namely stealing clothing to the value of £244.96 from Tk Maxx at Castlepoint shopping centre in Bournemouth on March 29. Eltayeb was fined £40.
ADRIAN SMITH, 37 and of Bourne Avenue in Bournemouth, admitted possession of a controlled drug of class B, namely cannabis, in Bournemouth on August 20. Smith was fined £40.
