ORGANISERS behind a popular Dorset motor show have announced a return for next year.
Dorset Blind Association’s annual motor show at Lulworth Castle will return on Sunday, May 18 for what is the event’s ninth year.
Event organisers promise it will be a day packed full of classic, sports and super cars all in support of charity.
Next year’s show follows an impressive turnout in 2024 which raised almost £30,000.
With more than 6,000 visitors and more than 250 vehicles displayed against the iconic backdrop of Lulworth Castle, it has become one of the region’s most picturesque and popular automotive events.
Now, registration is open for exhibitors, inviting owners of classic cars, supercars and motorbikes to secure their place in what promises to be another memorable gathering of motoring excellence.
The event will run from 10.30am to 4pm on the castle grounds, with exhibitors invited to arrive from 9am.
“We’re thrilled to host the Dorset Blind Association Motor Show for its ninth year and look forward to bringing together car lovers, families, and our wonderful community to support an essential cause,” said Sam Baker, community relations officer for the Dorset Blind Association.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate extraordinary vehicles while making a real difference for visually impaired people across Dorset.”
A spokesman for the event added: “Advanced booking is essential, as exhibitor spaces are highly sought after and expected to sell out quickly.
“Registered exhibitors will enjoy entry to the showground, a breakfast roll, hot drink, and exclusive access to explore Lulworth Castle, all included in the £15 entry fee per person.
“Car enthusiasts and collectors interested in participating are encouraged to book early via Eventbrite at https://DBAMotorShow25.eventbrite.co.uk.
“The day will culminate with the popular ‘Best Car Awards’ at 3.30pm, where showstopping vehicles will be celebrated for their design, history, and appeal.”
The showground will be open to the public, free of charge, and promises entertainment for all ages.
Families can enjoy live music and children’s activities, browse artisan stalls and savour a variety of options from food vendors. Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead.
Proceeds from exhibitor registrations go directly to the Dorset Blind Association, a charity that supports people in Dorset living with sight loss.
Funds raised help the charity provide crucial services such as community support, social activities, and equipment advice for visually impaired residents.
