HIGHCLIFFE Charity Players will present Goldilocks and the Three Bears as its January pantomime.

The panto will be staged at Regent in Christchurch across six performances from January 24 and 26.

Pete Whitaker, director and Highcliffe Charity Players chairman, said:  “Goldilocks was the first pantomime the Players ever performed at the Regent back in 1986, and it has remained a firm favourite ever since, enchanting generations of panto-goers.

"Our new production not only has the ‘Bear’ essentials, but a menagerie of animal magic.

“We are delighted again this year to have an incredibly talented young ensemble to complete our cast. Highcliffe Charity Players are proud to be giving opportunities to local performers, which will hopefully help them in their chosen career in the arts.

"It is also exciting to see so many future Players coming through, which can only benefit the company for years to come.”

Goldilocks is played by 17-year-old Laila Judge, with comic lead, the Dame’s gormless son Silly Billy, performed by Highcliffe Charity Players regular Harry Young.

Tickets cost between £16 and £17 and are available from Regent box office on 01202 499199 and online TheRegent.co.uk

As usual, all profits will go to local charities and worthwhile causes.
