POSTERS advertising ‘legal weed’ in Bournemouth have been removed by police.
The posters were placed on display in the town centre, advertising ‘legal weed direct to your door’ by a company called Fortune Flavours.
But Bournemouth Police said the images of cannabis used on the adverts were “not appropriate to publicly display”.
Officers posted on social media on Saturday, November 9: “If you have visited Bournemouth Town Centre in the last few days, you may have seen large posters advertising 'legal weed' for sale.
"There is no such thing as 'legal weed'. Weed, or cannabis, in any form, is illegal.
“These posters contained images of drugs that are not appropriate to publicly display. Your Neighbourhood Team have been actively taking these posters down whenever they are seen.
“If you are involved in drugs in any way, you are not welcome in Bournemouth.”
