A MAN injured a woman’s finger after he “threw a mobile phone at her” during a spat.
The fracas happened after 2.30pm Tuesday, November 5, near to a Volkswagen Transporter van in Sea View Road, Upton.
It’s understood the man, who is known to the woman, threw a mobile phone at her, causing an injury before driving away in the van.
Police officers have since arrested a man from Wareham, 31, on suspicion of assault. He has been released on police bail as enquiries continue.
Police constable Michael Wells said: “We are conducting enquiries into this report of assault, and I am keen to hear from any witnesses to the incident.
“I would also urge motorists who may have been in the area to please check any dashcam footage from around the relevant time period to see if they have captured anything that might assist our enquiries.
“I would like to make the same plea to residents or businesses in the vicinity with CCTV systems to review their footage for anything of relevance.”
