DORSET Council has appointed a new cabinet member following the resignation of Ryan Holloway.
Wareham ward councillor Holloway stepped down as cabinet member for corporate development and transformation due to personal reasons.
In his place will be Cllr Ben Wilson, ward councillor for South East Purbeck, council leader Nick Ireland said.
Dorset Council said in a statement: “Ben brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role.
“His professional background is in finance and business operations and he's a qualified chartered accountant.
“As a director for professional services firm Ernst & Young, Ben has advised and led on business transformation programmes for multiple medium and large-scale organisations.
“Ben will bring his experience of effective programme leadership and the challenges faced within the transformation environment to his new role on the Dorset Council cabinet.”
Cllr Wilson’s role will start with immediate effect.
