HUNDREDS of Wimborne residents came together to honour those who had died in conflict.
A roll call was made on Armistice Day for those who died during the two world wars and to remember three residents who had lost their lives since.
The last was Trooper Andrew Howarth of the Queen's Royal Lancers who died in 2010.
The reading of the names lost was shared by the Rector, the Revd Canon Andrew Rowland, the Minster Curate Revd Marianne Mangham, Anthony Oliver and Tammy Sleet.
More than 100 lined the Minster Green and the high street to pay their respects.
Marcus Adams played the Last Post and the Reveille.
On Remembrance Sunday, the Minster congregation paid its respects round the War Memorial at the end of the 9.30am Parish Eucharist.
In the afternoon, some 600 people attended the Royal British Legion Service in the Minster which was followed by the wreath laying at the War Memorial with around 1,000 people turning out.
Dorset's new Lord Lieutenant Mr Michael Dooley was present and took the salute in West Borough as the march past retuned to the Royal British Legion Club after the service.
