£10 million has been raised over the course of January to October of 2024 from a variety of exercise challenges.
The incredible amount of money was raised by Action Challenge’s 2024 Ultra Challenge Series.
The Ultra Challenge Series is compiled of eighteen events, where over 35,000 participants chose to run, walk or jog between 10km-100km at spots around the UK.
The events included the Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge, which took participants from Corfe Castle to Bridport.
Jan Smolaga from Action Challenge said: “People of all abilities want to push themselves further in support of the causes that matter to them and Ultra Challenges give them that opportunity, on a fully supported and well-run event with a great atmosphere.”
The money raised in these events is going to more than 500 different UK charities through JustGiving.
As of January 2024, JustGiving became an official partner of Action Challenge.
Pascale Harvie, president and general manager of JustGiving said: “We’re incredibly pleased with the success of our partnership with Action Challenge and are thrilled to see a staggering £10m raised for so many good causes.”
The £10 million raised is a 50% increase from the amounts raised in 2023.
With the 2024 challenge accumulating 325,000 donors and over 35,000 participants, Action Challenge express their thanks and gratitude.
Action Challenge will be holding a 2025 Ultra Series Challenge, and they’re hoping to exceed the £10 million amount and help even more UK charities.
