A BLAST of cold air next week could mean temperatures struggle to get above 5C, a Bournemouth forecaster has said.
A weather enthusiast known as Jay Bournemouth on social media platform X said starting next week a weather front from Greenland would allow cold air to plunge south bringing frosty nights and temperatures below 0C.
He said temperatures during the day would struggle to get above 3C to 5C.
He said: “Some uncertainty on risks on snowfall however it does seem to increase later in the week from occluded snow fronts coming from the north as well as a possible significant snow event from an approaching low pressure.
“However, this is still extremely far out so at this stage its highly unlikely. Because of such a destabilised atmosphere were going to be in, there could be other features which models haven't picked up yet.”
Dorset’s Weather Spotter said: “We can safely say it will turn colder from Monday but it’s still early to tell if we will see any snow or not, the models are struggling with the track of a low pressure system coming in from the west, so for now we will keep an eye on it and see what happens by the weekend.”
