A MAN ‘obsessed with sex’ repeatedly abused a woman in a hotel room for four days by tying her up and ignoring her pleas to stop, a court heard.

A judge told Ashley Lacey-Pring, 29, that he subjected his victim to “callous humiliation” as he sought to ‘slate his drug driven lust’.

Prosecutor, Tim Moores, told Bournemouth Crown Court on November 14 that around a week before the incident the defendant punched the victim, breaking her ribs, and told her not to go to hospital.

On February 3, 2022, the pair moved into a hotel on St Michael’s Road in Bournemouth with Lacey-Pring dosing himself with illegal libido enhancing drugs.

The pair began having consensual sex however, the defendant continued taking more drugs and demanded sex from the victim.

The woman said if she refused the defendant would become “horrible and abusive”, adding that he would not take no for an answer.

It was said Lacey-Pring would only relent to watch pornography before continuing the abuse, which involved tying her ankles and holding her down.

The woman was left covered in bruises from being ‘thrown around’ and when she told the defendant she was in pain he reportedly told her to ‘shut up’.

It was said that the drugs led to paranoia with the defendant accusing the woman of having a device inside her.

After four days he ran out of drugs and left the hotel in search for more, when the woman took her chance to ask the hotel manager for help.

Judge Jonathan Fuller KC said the defendant did not explicitly stop the victim from leaving, but his actions made her too scared to leave.

The woman told the court that she used to be an “outgoing and bubbly person” but was left scared to leave the house or trust anyone after the incident.

She said she lost her job, attempted suicide and became dependant on alcohol which broke her relationship with her family.

“My life has forever been affected by you and your actions to me," she said.

“My life will never be totally free from you.”

The defendant has 30 previous convictions for 40 offences including an indecent exposure in 2021 where he was described to “moon” shot staff.

Mitigating, Christopher Pix, said it was an “incredibly nasty but isolated incident” adding that it was a “few days of madness”.

Mr Pix said the defendant had been failed with his mental health and spiralled into a world of alcohol and drug addiction.

Lacey-Pring pleaded guilty to assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and was found guilty by jury of two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.

For the above offence, and a separate incident, the defendant was jailed for 15 years.

Detective Sergeant Shane Grant, of BCP CID, said: “I want to thank the victim in this case for the incredible bravery she has shown in coming forward to report these offences and for the support she has provided throughout our investigation.

“As a result of her courage and resilience, we were able to compile evidence and hold Ashley Lacey-Pring accountable for his appalling and contemptible actions.
