A VAN became stuck under a low railway bridge on Lake Road, Poole, causing the road to close temporarily in both directions.
Dorset Police said they were alerted to the collision and advised motorists to use alternative routes while the vehicle was removed.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "At 12.40pm on Thursday, November 14 we received a report that a van had collided with a railway bridge in Lake Road in Poole."
No injuries were reported, and Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed it did not attend.
The van was cleared from under the bridge that afternoon, and the road reopened both ways.
Network Rail's spokesman previously told the Daily the bridge is a disused track and, therefore, has no impact on its passengers.
This incident is the second time a vehicle has become trapped under the 2.8 railway bridge at Lake Road.
In October, an Enterprise rental vehicle collided with the bridge, once again forcing the road to close.
