A CONVOY of vintage military vehicles visited a care home when it marked Remembrance Day.
Oakdale care home in Kingsmill Road, Poole, saw members of staff don authentic military uniforms for the commemoration.
A Second World War Jeep was among the vehicles that featured during the event which began with a flag-raising ceremony and included a talk by a veteran.
The highlight of the day was the presentation of veterans' badges to deserving residents.
Each recipient was honoured with a personalised ceremony.
Residents also enjoyed a sing-a-long when a group of singers took to the stage to perform patriotic songs.
Lesley Brock, manager of Oakdale care home, said: “Oakdale had not only honoured its veterans but had also created a lasting memory, a testament to the enduring spirit of those who had served their country.”
