BRITAIN’S most famous ski jumper Eddie the Eagle Edwards will be star guest at a three-day winter sports extravaganza.

The Olympian will attend the Southern Snow Show at Snowtrax Alpine Activity Centre in Matchams Lane in Christchurch.

Fans will have the opportunity to meet the iconic athlete and get autographs during an exclusive signing session.

Taking place between November 29 and December 1, the free entry Southern Snow Show promises a thrilling weekend for both seasoned ski and snowboard enthusiasts as well as complete beginners.

Adam Halstead, managing director of Snowtrax, said: “We’re incredibly excited to bring the Southern Snow Show to the south coast.

Visitors can look forward to a range of attractions, including ski and snowboard taster sessions, plus beginners can try their hand at skiing or snowboarding for the first time with expert instructors, for just £7.50 per person.

There will also be a freestyle competition for aspiring and experienced riders and the chance to watch the Race Squad and Alpine Rocket groups go head-to-head through the slalom poles.

Plus, people can check out the latest winter gear and exclusive deals in the ski and snowboard store.

Meanwhile, the Alpine Pub will be serving traditional Alpine classic meals, indulgent hot chocolates and Gluhwein.
