POOLE RNLI volunteers will be making an appearance on Blue Peter.
Volunteers will feature in this week’s episode of the children’s entertainment show on CBBC.
The 41st Blue Peter presenter, Joel Mawhinney, recently paid a visit to the RNLI College for filming.
He undertook training there, taking the plunge in the sea survival pool practicing capsize drills before going afloat with the volunteers at Poole Lifeboat Station in a real-life scenario.
The team at Poole Lifeboat Station then had their childhood dreams fulfilled by receiving a Blue Peter badge each.
Volunteers Alex Ayling, Flick Dalladay and Dave Bursey also paused for a group photo with Joel.
The Blue Peter episode will air at 5pm on Friday, November 22 on CBBC - tune in to find out how Joel got on.
