ROADWORKS due to take place in Ringwood Road on Thursday have been postponed for a second time.
This time, the work southbound of the road in Poole between the junctions of Mannings Heath Road and Herbert Avenue have been postponed due to the snow.
Wessex Water were due to install a temporary pipe to the existing damaged sewer ahead of the full repairs at an unspecified date.
It was initially postponed back earlier this month because of other roadworks in Poole and bosses feared it would create even more problems on the roads.
At the end of October, a section of the sewer underneath Ringwood Road collapsed. Wessex Water opted to install a temporary pipe in the pavement and return at a later date to complete the necessary repairs under a longer road closure.
A Wessex Water spokesman said: “By installing the temporary pipe and delaying the repair, we can avoid worsening traffic in the area with other roadworks happening nearby and keep the sewer network working as normal.
“We will liaise with BCP Council to agree a date for the full sewer repair to begin and ensure that any associated traffic management measures are well publicised. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
