IMAGES showing the last confirmed sighting of a missing man from east Dorset have been issued as searches continue to find him.

Police received a report raising concern for the welfare of Nicholas Grover, 76, on Thursday, November 21.

The last confirmed sighting of Nicholas was outside the post office in Victoria Road, Ferndown, at 10.53am.

It is believed he then continued walking south along Victoria Road before he turned into one of the alleyways where he has not been seen or heard from since.

Nicholas is described as six feet tall, of slim build with short grey hair and he is clean shaven.

He is wearing a blue cap, short green coat, black trousers and brown boots, and he is carrying a backpack.

Inspector Ben Dawes, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing our enquiries to try and locate Nicholas but we have still not been able to establish his whereabouts.

“Due to the adverse weather conditions in the area at the time of his last reported sighting, we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare and I would urge anyone with information regarding his whereabouts, or who has seen a man matching the description given, to please get in touch.

“I would also urge residents or motorists in the area to please review their home CCTV cameras or dashcams to see if they have captured any footage of Nicholas so we can continue to trace his whereabouts.

“Furthermore, I would also ask residents and business owners in the area to check their hedges, sheds, outbuildings and garages to see if he may have taken shelter there.”

Anyone with information or knowledge Nicholas’ whereabouts can contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 21:397.
