EVENTS and outdoor venues are being forced to announce cancellations as Storm Bert hits Dorset.
The Met Office has issued two yellow weather warnings for Dorset, for both rain and wind, expecting to last until late evening on Sunday, November 24.
Here are a list of events and locations with cancellations this weekend:
- Bournemouth Christmas Market has closed its retail stalls due to the wind but food stalls remain open at the time of writing
- Christchurch Christmas lights switch on planned for Saturday evening
- Poole maritime-themed lights will be switched on without a show. Santa's parade, Gugge 2000 band, Poole's Choirs at Christmas and the fire performance will be delayed to a later date
- Moors Valley Country Park has temporarily closed until Monday, November 25
- Skate ice rink in Bournemouth has closed for Saturday, November 23
