PRINCESS Road has been targeted just days after a committee meeting was called by officers to investigate a spate of deliberate fires across the past year.
A grey BMW 1 Series was left charred and smouldering on Princess Road this morning (November 24).
Police officers and Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service reportedly attended the incident and extinguished the blaze.
Debris was left on the road from the fire while the burnt-out car was cordoned off with police tape.
A nearby postbox was damaged during the incident and a white van was reportedly also damaged.
In the space of a month, two vans, a car, and a recycling bin have been set alight on the same road.
Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said firefighters are still investigating a cause, while Dorset Police said anybody with concerns can approach officers.
Days before this incident, a neighbourhood policing team committee meeting took place on November 22 to give residents the opportunity to speak with local officers to discuss issues of concern.
The Daily Echo has contacted Dorset Police and Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service for more information.
