A MAN aged in his 70s was left with injuries to his face after a town centre assault in Bournemouth.
Police were called to Christchurch Road in Boscombe at 8.15pm on Saturday, November 23 after reports of an assault between two men.
A man in his 70s sustained injuries to his face but did not require medical assistance.
The other man, aged in his 40s, was arrested and then cautioned for assault by beating.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police: “We received a report at 8.15pm on Saturday 23 November 2024 of an assault involving two men who were reported to be known to each other in Christchurch Road in Bournemouth.
“It was reported that the victim, a man aged in his 70s, sustained injuries to his face, but he did not require immediate medical assistance.
“A man aged in his 40s was arrested in connection with the incident and was subsequently issued with a caution for an offence of assault by beating.”
