A PERSON was verbally abused and pushed by an unknown man at a convenience store in New Milton. 

The assault reportedly occurred inside Nisa Local in Ashley Road between 9.20am and 9.30am on, October 17.

The ‘stranger’ was also reported to have verbally abused a number of other people during the incident.

Police are investigating the assault and have released a CCTV image of a man they’d like to speak with.

The man is described as white, aged between 30 and 50 years, of approximately 5ft 5ins tall and large build, bald, with a scruffy beard, and wearing black shorts, black top with a logo across the middle, black coat, white trainers.

A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said: “We believe the man in this image can help us with our investigation and would urge him, or anyone who knows his identity, to get in touch with us.

"Also, if you witnessed the incident, saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, or have any CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam or doorbell camera footage which could aid our investigation, please contact us.
