RESURFACING work and road closures along a part of the A31 will begin tonight.
The dual carriageway will be closed westbound between the M27 and Ringwood from 9pm on Monday, November 25.
As well as this, lane two of the eastbound side will also be closed.
The closure will take place from November 25 for five nights and again on December 2 for two nights.
A signed diversion route will be in place from junction two of the M27, north on the A36 to Salisbury and then south on the A338 via Fordingbridge and Ringwood.
National Highways said in a letter to residents: “For residents and businesses with direct access to and from the A31, there will be an escort service in place.
“Please approach the closure point and await an escort vehicle.
“Please note that properties with access from another route will not be escorted.”
