BABY and child swim school Puddle Ducks took part in its annual pyjama week to raise money for charity.
The charity, Bournemouth and Poole Sands, offers emotional support and practical help for people whose baby has died during pregnancy, at birth or soon afterwards.
Bournemouth and Poole Sands is part of a UK-wide network of groups offering support to anyone affected by the death of a baby.
The goal of the pyjama week is not only to raise money for charity, but to also raise awareness of water safety.
As well as pyjama week can be fun for the children, it’s also giving them the chance to experience what it feels like to swim when clothed helping them to learn vital techniques should they accidentally fall into water.
Collaborating with other businesses which have donated a number of prizes to its raffle, this year the local swim school raised £1,068.53 for the charity.
Angie from Bournemouth & Poole Sands said: “Thanks to Puddle Ducks’ kindness, we have been able to raise an amazing amount of money.”
Jane Bozic, owner of Puddle Ducks Dorset, said: “Our PJ Week was once again a huge success with lots of our children and their families getting involved!
“It’s such a special week that the children really enjoy and being able to raise so much money to such a wonderful charity makes me really proud of everyone who got involved.”
