A MAN was injured during an attempted robbery involving a screwdriver.
Police were called to an address in St Clements Road, Bournemouth, at 10.01pm on Wednesday, November 28.
The victim, aged in his 20s, sustained a "suspected puncture wound to his cheek" according to a spokesperson from Dorset Police.
It was reported the offender was in possession of a screwdriver.
Following enquiries, police officers attended Southcote Road, and a 34-year-old man from Fareham, Hampshire, was arrested.
He was arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and wounding with intent.
It was further reported to Dorset Police the man assaulted an officer as he was being detained, as well as being arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker.
Dorset Police said the man in question remains in police custody at this time.
