Nathan's Famous to open new restaurant in Poole

Nathan’s Famous will be returning to Dorset on Monday, December 2 with 30 per cent off orders to celebrate the opening.

The new site will be a delivery and take-away only hub at 21 Factory Road in Poole.

It was previously reported that the Bournemouth restaurant, on Old Christchurch Road, closed its doors in February.

A spokesperson said that an increase in operational costs and “ever escalating incidents of anti-social behaviour and vandalism” forced the restaurant to close.

Reza Aghajanzadeh, co-director of RBA Restaurants, franchisee of Nathan’s Famous UK, said: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the dedication of our customers, some of whom travel over an hour to visit our Portswood restaurant in Southampton.

“It’s fantastic to now bring the authentic taste of Nathan’s Famous closer to those in Dorset while also introducing Wings of New York, offering even more delicious options for our loyal fans and new visitors alike.”

Nathan’s Famous originated in Brooklyn in 1916 and now offers “world-famous” beef hot dogs, burgers, loaded friends, cheesesteaks and wings.

The new site will also introduce Wings of New York, featuring 11 different flavours of fried chicken wings with sauces and dry rub seasonings.

A spokesperson for Nathan’s Famous said: “This opening is particularly special for the Nathan’s Famous team after the closure of our Bournemouth location earlier this year, a decision made to prioritise safety in the town.

“While the closure was a difficult step, it allowed us to focus on finding a new home where we could continue to deliver the quality food and service our customers love.

“We are delighted to welcome our Bournemouth customers to Poole and invite them to once again enjoy their favourite Nathan’s meals.”

Nathan’s Famous, Poole will offer takeaway, click and collect and delivery services but no eat-in option.

Customers can enjoy a 30 per cent discount on food and drink, Monday to Friday, for takeaway orders only in the first week.
