TWO Dorset Homebase stores will be closing down, it has been confirmed.
The troubled DIY and garden chain will be closing its Christchurch store at Christchurch Retail Park in Bailey Drive and its Blandford store in Stour Park.
Meanwhile, its Branksome store in Poole Road was put up for sale, with a deadline of November 29 for potential suitors to buy it.
Details on whether a sale has been agreed on have not been released yet.
A spokesman from the Blandford store said: “With department discount levels from 10-70 per cent already, there are some great deals across the store.
“Please don’t sleep on this, as it is a when it’s gone sale, so come grab your bargains while stocks last.”
Homebase appointed administrators at consultancy Teneo after it was hit hard by an “incredibly challenging” three years for the DIY sector.
Administrators struck a deal to sell the business to retail group CDS, which owns The Range and Wilko, securing the future of up to 1,600 jobs and 70 stores.
However, the future of 2,000 other workers and its remaining stores was left hanging in the balance.
Administrators have now placed 74 leasehold Homebase stores on the market.
