A MAN was stabbed in Bournemouth town centre.
The man was found injured with a ‘stab wound’ outside a flat in Terrace Road, at the Commercial Road end, at around 5.30pm on Saturday, November 30.
He is believed to have been stabbed after what police have described as a “disturbance” in the area at the time.
Police officers attended and the man was taken to hospital for treatment to his injury, which was not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.
Five people were later arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including one for grievous bodily harm.
They were all taken to the police station, where they remain, and are facing serious questions from detectives.
Dorset Police’s spokesman said: “Following enquiries, a man aged in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
“Two men aged in their 20s have also been arrested on suspicion of affray and two women aged in their 20s have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to steal.
“All five suspects remain in police custody at this time as enquiries continue. Officers are carrying out enquiries in the area and can be approached by members of the public with any information or concerns.”
A cordon was seen in the road for much of Saturday, with crime scene investigators from South West Forensics analysing the area.
