A MAN has been charged and named after an alleged stabbing in Bournemouth town centre.
Bournemouth resident Marco Goncalves has been charged with wounding with intent, possession of an offensive weapon, possessing a class A drug and criminal damage.
It follows an incident in Terrace Road, close to Commercial Road, at around 5.30am on Saturday, November 30 after a man was found injured in the street.
Police officers believe he was stabbed and he was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening.
Five arrests were made by the officers.
Goncalves, 27, is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Monday, December 2.
Four others were arrested, including two men aged in their 20s on suspicion of affray and two women aged in their 20s on suspicion of conspiracy to steal.
Both men and one of the women have been released on police bail. The second woman in her 20s has been released under investigation.
