NEARLY £400 worth of alcohol was shoplifted from a Waitrose supermarket. 

The supermarket in The Furlong, Ringwood was shoplifted at around 2.11pm and 2.26pm on Saturday, November 9. 

Police officers have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to identify as part of their enquiries. 

He is white, about 40 years old, around 5ft 10ins tall with brown hair and a beard, wearing a long blue coat, white shirt, black trousers and shoes. 

A spokesman from Ringwood police said: “We believe the man in this image can help us with our investigation and would urge him, or anyone who knows his identity, to get in touch with us. 

“Also, if you witnessed the incident, saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, or have any CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam or doorbell camera footage which could aid our investigation, please contact us.
