EMERGENCY services are still at the scene of a serious accident involving two cars and an overturned lorry.
One driver has been taken to hospital with serious leg and pelvic injuries after his car careered off the road into a field.
The air ambulance was scrambled to the scene.
Police, ambulance and four fire engines rushed to the smash after receiving a 999 call from a passing motorist at 9.15am.
The accident happened on the B3078 Cranborne Road, close to the Horton Inn, near the Horton turn off.
The road is shut in both directions while recovery of the vehicles takes place and crash investigators work to establish what happened in the moments before the accident.
