Not being acquainted with the previous outings of the lolloping St Bernard, I can’t tell you if this is just more of the same.

What I can confirm is the monster pooch manages to slobber his way through every scene, knocking over anything that gets in his path.

And he does it with style.

Basic plot is Beethoven gets the starring role in a big Hollywood movie, then he gets kidnapped by the villain of the piece, nasty animal trainer Sal.

Beethoven’s new owners, nice animal trainer Eddie and son Billy, discover where he is and with help from Eddie’s new girlfriend Lisa rescue the big lump and they all live happily ever after.
