Later today (June 18) we fly out to Kiel for the next stop of the ISAF Sailing World Cup at Kieler Wocher.
The event will also be the first time the chosen boat for the Olympics, the Elliot 6m will be tried and tested on the Olympic circuit so many eyes will be watching!
We are really looking forward to getting in the boat, it will be the first time Annie, Ally or myself will have seen an Elliot, let alone race one so our main focus will be to start getting used to sailing them and work out the key areas in speed and boat handling which we can work on over the summer.
As current leaders of the SWC however we certainly do not plan to let the new boats take anything away from our racing and hope to leave Kiel still in control of the SWC rankings.
Friday afternoon we'll have two hours of practice in the boats then racing starts on Saturday, we'll keep you posted!
