THE kings of cow punk’s Glastonbury warm-up gig was a feast of foot-stomping fun. Pronghorn, founder members of Endorse It In Dorset Festival, played a blinding show.
Their music has a mix of influences – including Jewish, Cajun and Irish – and had the crowd on their feet throughout. They’re an energetic band and obviously love what they do. Talented musicians, they play a wide range of instruments, from fiddle to squeezbox (on Nirvana tribute, Smells Like White Spirit.) Pronghorn enjoyed an excellent rapport with the crowd and had them crying out for more.
Support act Shelf Life enthralled with their versions of songs such as Young at Heart and Living on a Prayer, and even a Girls Aloud Track for Good measure, while Shaftesbury-based Achilles already seem to have built up a following.
