VICTIMISED residents on a Poole estate are being urged to come together to tackle the problem gangs that are making their lives hell.
Families on the Bourne Estate are living in fear of the rampant teenagers, who are attacking homes, cars and individuals.
The latest horrifying incident saw a wild rabbit chopped up and spread over the car of resident Denis Hamon.
Mr Hamon is now rallying other victims to join him in fighting back and is pleading with the authorities to help them out of their nightmare.
“The people being victimised and attacked need to come together,” said Denis, whose two teenage children have been among the victims of the gangs.
“Everyone is being told they are the only person being picked on and everyone is fed up with it.
“Families who are putting their lives on the line are left to live in fear.”
Asher Nardone, another resident who has been targeted, said the lawless behaviour was no better than the “Vikings pillaging”.
She said: “Despite the efforts of a few residents who have tried to stand up to these people, the police seem to have no idea how to sort this estate out and residents’ plight are often ignored.
“Those who do try and stand up feel a total sense of it being a lost cause.”
A police curfew has been suggested as one possible solution to the problem, while CCTV has long been called for to catch incidents on camera.
The council and police are accused of ignoring the problem area but both parties insist the situation is being closely monitored.
Dorset Police said their dedicated Safer Neighbourhood Scheme was taking the issue “very seriously”.
“We are committed to working with our partners and local communities to listen to their concerns and resolves the issues,” said Insp Adrian King, of Poole police.
