A MAN attempted to abduct a Bournemouth woman in broad daylight as she waited for a bus, say police.
The 20-year-old victim was waiting at a bus stop in Wimborne Road in Moordown, Bournemouth, at around 11.10am yesterday when a man took hold of her and tried to force her to go with him.
The victim screamed and the man immediately let go and ran away towards Winton centre.
The woman was left shocked but uninjured.
The man is described as scruffy looking, between 45 and 55 years old, between five feet six and five feet ten inches tall and of skinny build.
He had collar-length, light brown hair, a full beard and wore a baggy blue tee-shirt.
PC Chris Griffin, of Bournemouth Police, said: “I need to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident and whose attention was drawn to a woman screaming.”
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police on 01202 222 222 or the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
