BOURNEMOUTH’S Pier Theatre has a very special Variety Show for residents on Saturday as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations.
For a recession-busting £5 a ticket, people who live in Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch can see a wealth of talent.
Topping the bill is stand up comic Lee Carroll, who starred in the classic Granada TV series The Comedian.
Song and dance lady Lynn Sweet presents songs from the stage and screen including hits from Barbra Streisand, Dusty Springfield, Maria Carey and Petula Clark.
Neil Diamond tribute artist Tom Armstrong has played with the likes of Georgie Fame, Alan Price, The Floaters and The Trammps and there’s a set from top impersonator Tony Rudd, whose act covers everyone from The Simpsons to Sir Alan Sugar. The Starburst Dancers are also on the bill.
