FIRE crews were kept busy by a number of incidents around the area earlier today:
- FIREFIGHTERS dealt with a small heath fire near Rossmore Community College, Poole, today, using beaters and two hoses to extinguish the flames after being called at 4.06pm.
- FIREFIGHTERS were called to smoke coming from a washing machine at a Laundrette in Charminster Bournemouth, at 5.51pm today, which was found to have an electrical short circuit.
- TWO fire crews were called to a two-vehicle accident at the Sherborne Causeway, near Motcombe, north west of Shaftesbury, at 4.30pm today. Two people were cut free and one was taken to hospital by the air ambulance.
- A RESTAURANT reportedly had a smoke-logged ceiling at The Fleetsbridge, Poole. Firefighters were called at 12.54pm and found slight smoke damage to the kitchen. The cause of the smoke could not be found but fire crews recommended an electrician’s assessment.
