Nintendo today release the Wii System Update version 4.2.

What does this mean for the regular Joe? Absolutely nothing. Nintendo state they've improved general system performance!

If you're connected to Wii Connect 24 then you'll already have had a blue light today and probably already updated.

There's nothing new. It's like the update before it (that's 4.1 by the way) and appears to be squarely aimed at ruining the Homebrew Channel experience.

So lets hope we'll get something more interesting with system update 4.3!
