PLANS for illuminated signs at a new branch of the Co-op to open soon in Blandford have raised objections from the town council.
Civic chiefs objected to proposals for internally lit signs on the Southern Co-op’s new store in the former Wilts and Dorset depot on Salisbury Road.
Planning committee members said the proposed fascia and hanging signs contravened the council’s policy on lit signs and would disturb people in nearby homes.
District councillors will now they have the final say on the application.
